The participants did not need a permit to boo or hold a placard any more than they would have needed one to clap. If anyone broke the law by booing, I expect law and order to prevail and see some arrests.
There is a war of attrition by the Maltese government against media that holds power to account without fear or favour. It has got to the point of a state-sponsored assassination of a journalist. A war against the media is a war against democracy.
I do hope to see you protesting against the stench of corruption at Castille, and the poor governance shown by this government, one example of which could potentially be the inordinate amount of direct orders your law firm receives from government ministries, departments and agencies on a regular basis.
Yet Muscat remains in office despite the clear danger (and probability) of his obstructing justice to protect his best friend and himself. Muscat has at least six weeks to do that, and to try to arrange for a successor who will be his proxy/puppet when he resigns.
Since the practice of such appointments goes against the principles of good governance and the spirit and intent of the constitution, they corrupt the Rule of Law.
